Blues Classics Remastered And Revisited marks the first individual CD release of 1974's Luther's Blues (Motown/UME).   The axeman's ascension to guitar royalty commenced with this modern masterpiece of electric blues, which followed his 1972 Motown major label debut Bad News Is Coming.  The original tracks on Luther's Blues range from the title tune featured in the 1975 film Cooley High to the driving "Someday Pretty Baby" and tortured "Part Time Love," from his reprise of Magic Sam's "Easy Baby" to Roosevelt Sykes' "Driving Wheel" and Luther's staggering seven-minute epic of downbeat blues, "Let's Have A Little Talk."

Now two previously unreleased 1973 studio bonus tracks have been added: "San-Ho-Zay," an incendiary takeoff on Freddy King's 1961 instrumental hit, and an early version of Luther's "Bloomington Closing."  Also featured is the previously unreleased stage finale from his famed appearance at the Ann Arbor Blues Festival on September 9, 1973, the medley "I'm Gonna Miss My Baby/Bad News Is Coming/The Thrill Is Gone."
