Here, Berry explains how the show came to be, reflecting the extraordinary history of Motown and its music – or, as he says, “its wins, losses, triumphs and disasters.”
Motown The Musical has now arrived in London’s West End. It stars Cedric Neal as Berry Gordy, Lucy St. Louis as Diana Ross, and Charl Brown as Smokey Robinson. The show is playing at the Shaftesbury Theatre, and is currently scheduled to run until February 2017. Tickets are available here: http://motownthemusical.co.uk
The musical opened in New York in 2013, and grossed $120 million in ticket sales during its original Broadway run. The show returns to Broadway this summer and you can get your tickets here: http://www.motownthemusical.com
